COVID UPDATE MAY 23, 2021
Most of us are following along trying to decipher the rules!!! We are right with you.
At this point in time, we are able to launch your vessel if you have a place of residence on the Bay and require access. Should you wish to head to your cottage, please give us the usual two week notice to prepare your boat.
Our fuel dock is open - if you have a legitimate reason to require fuel. Please respect our fuel guidelines that are posted on our dock. For the safety of our staff, and for your own safety, please adhere to the following:
- dock your boat and secure it to the dock (unfortunately our staff are not able to assist at this time)
- open your fuel tank and exit your boat to the parking lot off the main dock.
- if you don't mind, for safety reasons our staff will wear their masks outside when fueling, we are hoping you will as well.
- when you enter our store to pay, please wear your mask and sanitize your hands before entering. (there is a 2 person limit in our store at once - if there are more people in your family just let us know!)
- please remember to keep a healthy distance while on the property.
Thank you for working together with us! We sincerely appreciate all of your sacrifices so we can all operate safely and get back to some sense of normalcy.
The beautiful weather is finally here, and we are looking forward to a MUCH NEEDED SUMMER!!! Can't wait to see you.
BE SAFE BE WELL BE KIND

COVID - UPDATE February 19, 2020
While most of our province has transitioned into a colour-coded reopening framework, our local North Bay - Parry Sound Health Unit has chosen to keep our region in lock-down. That means in Parry Sound, we don't have a colour, the stay-at-home order is still in effect, and Parry Sound Marine will remain closed to the public. Unfortunately we don't have news when this order will be lifted, or what colour we will be once our region is opened.
However, even if we were able to open - you wouldn't get far given our recent cold temperatures and the foot of ice in front of our docks!
Thank you for being patient. We recognize spring is around the corner and we are looking forward to a much needed SUMMER!
In the meantime, if you are thinking of spring work that is required for your boat such as waxing, polishing, top repair or replacement, maybe a tune up, please contact us as soon as possible so we can plan.
Looking forward to a great summer. We really deserve it!!!
Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay positive.
COVID - UPDATE May 12, 2020
Good News! The Ontario government has changed the Emergency Order wording allowing marinas to operate to include all residents to be able to access their properties. This means...if you are a property owner, we are able to put your boat in the water effective May 13th.
However, it is not business as usual. Please be patient with us. Marinas are still not allowed to be open for recreational boating. We don't make the rules - but we are required to follow them.
That being said, if you have not contacted us to put your boat in, and would like it, please call us and let us know your plans.
Please know we are excited to serve you, but keep in mind, this has all been happening very fast. We have only had a week to prepare for your arrival - it would normally take a couple months. We will do our best to accommodate what we can safely.
This is definitely going to be a different year - and a different WELCOME BACK to our customers. Keep in mind we will have new operating procedures that are outlined below.
When arriving at the marina:
* please keep your distance from others - you will be professionals at this by now!
* only arrive with your immediate family - please don't invite guests
* call ahead and prearrange your fueling requirements
* maintain an appropriate distance at our fuel dock - only staff will fuel or pump-out
* email or phone with needed boating accessories - dockside pick up for you!
*respect others in the vicinity, please go straight to your boat and head on your way
* should you need assistance, call in advance and we will arrange support
* sadly, no Kelly hugs :(
I can't wait for your distant boater waves - the sound of your hellos - and maybe a curtsy before jumping in your boat!
Whatever greeting floats your boat!

COVID - UPDATE May 5, 2020
With Premier Ford's announcement, as of Monday marina's are now able to service and launch your boats - the caveat is - we can't give them to you quite yet! However, this is coming - and soon.
If you haven't already contacted us - please do so as soon as you can with a launch request. As you can imagine, our parking lot is full of boats, our buildings are still packed, and it will be challenging to launch so many boats in such a short period of time.
Now, more than ever, we are concerned about the health of our staff, our customers and our families. These are unchartered waters - we will continue to roll out new operating guidelines - as we navigate through the future together. When we are open and can safely operate - there are a few measures we would ask you to follow to keep us all safe.

This is new to all of us, we are all in it together, and together we will get through!

COVID - April 15, 2020
With the onset of COVID-19, we are currently navigating unchartered waters. We hope you are well and have been able to isolate and stay healthy. Now more than ever, we can appreciate that boating and arriving at your cottage would provide a much-needed breath of fresh air and allow you to escape the worries of everyday life. However, with the government’s recent declaration of Essential Workplaces within Ontario, only marina’s providing services to allow individuals access to their primary place of residence will be allowed to operate. We have made the tough decision to close until the end of the mandated period.
We are deeply concerned about the health and well-being of our staff, customers, and community. We all must do our part to self-isolate and physically distance ourselves to protect our loved ones.
We appreciate your understanding during this time of unknowns. We will be available by telephone or email to respond to questions, scheduling of spring service/maintenance or the potential launch of your boat. We look forward to seeing you this summer – once it is safe to operate.
As Premier Ford stated, “the ending of our story is up to us”. By doing the right thing we can keep each other safe so we can all enjoy cottage country for years to come.
As much as we love seeing you, we consider you all family and want to ensure good health.
Stay positive. Stay safe. Stay Healthy.
